This was our 2nd international food tour w/ Unique Lancaster Experiences. We had such a great time in 2024, we decided to do it again. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the owner, Kendra, would be our host. New for us was our 1st stop, Chellas Arepa Kitchen which recently opened & named after the owners grandmother. We had fresh arepas w/dipping sauces made from fresh ingredients, also Sahara Bistro Shawarma where we had shawarma w/rice which was very flavorful topped w/a pink Middle Eastern pickled veggie, very good. Bareret Bistro & Bakery was a treat, we had fresh croissants w/a sweet filling. 2 people wanted savory & opted for the spinach & cheese which they said was delicious. We also sampled fresh olive oil’s & vinegars, fine teas & freshly made ice cream. Each establishment has a story behind it & Kendra has formed such a great rapport w/the owners that they’re willing to share w/us. She chatted w/ each group on our tour to make us comfortable. Kendra is AWESOME!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! 2024 Post The International Food Tour was a last minute idea for something to fill our Saturday for our weekend stay in the Lancaster area. This is a must do tour. Our tour guide Mabel is one of the friendliest, sweetest and knowledgeable individuals that I’ve met. She enjoys ALL people and ALL foods😊😊😊 She introduced and educated us on many immigrant business owners and their journey to Lancaster and we were able to taste some of the foods that have helped make their businesses successful. We tried a Pakistanian cuisine that was to die for, an empanada that was out of this world, we tasted the freshest olive oils and balsamic vinegars from Spain, we sampled an Italian panini made with fresh baked bread, we enjoyed a raspberry cookies & cream ice cream followed by a South African tea that has been said to have healing properties. This is a great tour to experience foods and people from different cultures and I can’t say enough about Mabel our tour guide…Incredible young

YES BOOK THIS TOUR! This food tour was incredible - we ate delicious foods, learned so much about Lancaster that was not Amish and met some really amazing shop owners that make quality food! Worth every penny and more, Kendra was so knowledgeable, friendly, professional and made you want to be besties because she knows all the secrets of where to eat and the history! if you are in the area take the tour, eat the food, buy all the things, you will not regret it!

My mother and I did the breakfast food/ history tour and it did not disappoint. We chose early morning and it started with a coffee or tea followed by a few sweet treats and an amazing breakfast wrap. Mabel was a doll and so up beat. Since we had a small group our interaction was more intimate and we got to ask additional questions while learning about the City. She was beyond knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely recommend!!

Wonderful, awesome and amazing!! Super informative! I’m stuffed because the food was amazing. The guide was super informative and interesting. You need to do this tour!

Mabel was our guide and was wonderful. She was very energetic and very friendly. My husband and I did the tour on our 39th wedding anniversary. The food we tried was delicious and we got to sample quite a lot. Tour was informative as well. Highly recommend it!

Mabel was absolutely lovely, so engaging and knowledgeable about each business! We learned so much about the history of how each business got started in the area. The food samples were just wonderful, each one flavorful and good sample sizes. Thank you Mabel for a great experience, your personality is very much appreciated!

The food tour was amazing. Mabel the tour guide was so sweet and bubbly, she was patient and very informative. We were taken through various cultures and savory explosions with each bite. Truly recommend to learn about Lancaster and their beautiful town.

Becka was an AMAZING tour guide of Lancaster. She was extremely friendly and was able to answer any questions we had. Becka is knowledgeable about the history and told us some interesting stories. The food, coffee, and tea were out of this world. Highly recommend this Breakfast/History tour if you are visiting Lancaster.

Tour was fantastic. Food was fantastic and really highlighted the local culture. Our tour guide was great! She really showcased her passion and love of the city. Great pace and amazing first time tour experience. Highly recommend if you want to see a bit of the downtown history while enjoy the diverse selection of eats!

The overall experience was wonderful! From the time of sign up until the end of the tour. We were a large party who did the tour to celebrate a friends birthday. Mabel was our tour guide. She was friendly, informative and delightful! She brought waters for the group. She made a point to get to know the names of people in the group. Mabel was able to navigate the groups of 12 with ease ( there was 8 in our group). She gave us clear directions at each stop. The tour also has it setup where if you shop at the local shop they are in cooperation with the tour so a discount was offered (please shop after the tour for the sake of the entire tour) Just a great tour to enjoy! Would recommend it 10 of 10
